Associate Professor David Livingstone Smith, Ph.D., has recently been published by the American Psychological Association. His paper "Beyond good and evil: variations on some Freudian themes" appears in Humanity's Dark Side: Evil, Destructive Experience, and Psychotherapy, a volume edited by Bohart, Held, Mendelowitz and Schneider.
Smith is the author of Less Than Human: Why We Demean, Enslave, and Exterminate Others, as well as Why We Lie: The Evolutionary Roots of Deception and the Unconscious Mind and The Most Dangerous Animal: Human Nature and the Origins of War.
